Community Service Officer - Shelter Operations

Job Summary

The Town of Jackson is seeking a full-time Community Service Officer (CSO) – Shelter Operations. The salary range is $62,000 - $80,000 DOE, with full benefits.

Responsibilities

• Animal Care: Provide care, impound, feed, exercise, vaccinate, medicate, train, and socialize domestic and feral cats and dogs.
• Cleaning: Clean animal cages and kennels, work areas, and maintain entire facility and grounds.
• Community Engagement: Engage with the community and individuals for adoption of abandoned and surrendered animals and handle associated documentation.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license
• One year of work experience in public service, animal health and control, or a related field

Persons in this position must demonstrate a value-centered, team-oriented approach and a passion for animal care.
