Community Service Officer
Job Overview
You will be responsible for providing public safety law enforcement services to the Community under the authority of SMSC resolutions, ordinances and Minnesota Statute. Enjoy weekly pay, 401k match day one, and health benefits.
Responsibilities
- Aid in enforcing ordinances; Fish and Game, Animal Control, Consolidated Land Management Ordinance etc.
- Serve as SMSC Tribal Court Bailiff.
- Aid in SMSC annual Wacipi and other SMSC and Gaming Enterprise outdoor events.
- Report writing.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Law enforcement related experience and/or passed the MN P.O.S.T. eligibility test (Current).
- Ability to receive and record incident reports.
- Pass applicant drug/alcohol screening, medical/psychological exam and comprehensive background check.
- Intermediate computer proficiency to include word processing, electronic mail, and related business software.
- Must be detail oriented and disciplined to perform routine tasks under adverse conditions.
- Valid Class D driver’s license may be required with a good driving record.
