About the role
The Community Resources and Events Coordinator (Resident Services Coordinator) is the residents' primary contact for the creation of new activities/events and groups. This role partners with residents in the planning, promoting, and coordinating of events, activities, interest groups, and educational programs/entertainment.
Responsibilities
- Partners with residents to develop activities within the community as well as outside the gates of the community.
- Collaborates with other pertinent departments to coordinate room usage for activities/events.
- Performs preliminary work for monthly calendars (i.e., activities/events listings).
- Facilitates and maintains communication regarding activities/events among residents as well as various staff.
- Makes resident referrals to appropriate departments, as necessary.
- Assists with the creation, maintenance, and distribution of electronic and paper-based calendars as well as the activities and events listings and the “Community Resources Handbook.”
- Arranges audio/visual equipment with vendor(s) appropriate to speaker and presentation needs.
- Serves as information center for resident inquiries.
- Makes resident referrals to appropriate departments, as necessary.
- May train and coach resident volunteer production and AV teams to support the Community TV and audio visual needs for community activities.
- May partner with the TV Studio to direct, produce, edit, and videotape community activities, meetings, and special projects as needed.

- Computer literacy (Microsoft Office Publisher, PowerPoint, Word and Excel).

- Strong customer service skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Minimum of 3 years’ service-related experience (i.e., volunteer and/or public service experience).
- Experience with the senior population preferred.
Qualifications
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience with the senior population preferred.
Skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Good public speaking ability.
- Attention to detail.

Pay
Commensurate with experience from $59,000-$63,000 annually, plus eligibility for up to an 8% bonus annually.
Schedule
This is a Full-Time, benefits eligible position requiring weekday and occasional weekend availability.
