What You’ll Do

Position Summary

The Community Events Coordinator reports to the Director, Growth and is responsible for developing, coordinating and executing onsite and external Suvida community events for existing and new patients and their families. This person will also cultivate relationships and partner with key local community organizations and stakeholders that influence Medicare-eligible Hispanic adults.

Responsibilities

  • Plans, coordinates, and executes a variety of strategic, growth-oriented onsite and external events to engage both existing and potential patients and their families.
  • Partners with Suvida Neighborhood Engagement Consultants and Director, Marketing & Growth, Houston to develop, implement and launch strategic and tactical field marketing plans that compliment and are consistent with, and supportive of, our aggressive growth agenda.
  • Works with external partners (e.g. plans / payers, JVs, etc.) to develop and execute against co-branded campaigns and events.
  • Effectively promotes community and neighborhood center events, primarily using grassroots techniques to maximize participation. Collaborates with the Director, Growth, VP of Marketing, and Neighborhood Engagement team to effectively promote large scale events.
  • Conducts all activities in ways that are compliant with CMS and HIPAA governmental requirements.
  • Potential Patient Events (External & Onsite)
    • In partnership with Neighborhood Engagement team, maintains relationships with and coordinates external events with key community partners, including local churches and other religious organizations, retail stores, restaurants, home health care agencies, payers, senior focused nonprofit organizations, individual influencers, to drive existing member engagement and net new patient acquisition.
    • Pairs with teams at specific centers to organize and execute onsite growth-oriented events, such as Open Houses, Meet the Doctor lunches, etc.
    • Collaborates with Neighborhood Engagement team to include payer and broker partners in event coordination and execution. Strengthens existing strategic alliances and contributes to the development of new ones in the market.
    • Manages vendors as related to event planning and negotiating contracts with venues where events are taking place.
    • Generates new member leads for the Neighborhood Engagement team and tracks event success metrics. Achieves ROI measures consistently in documented members acquired.
    • Edits community partners on talking points and/or speeches to inform target audiences of the benefits of the Suvida comprehensive care model.
  • Ability and willingness to travel locally and regionally.
  • Perform other duties as assigned and modified at managers discretion.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Bring

    • 3+ years related experience (e.g., marketing, event planning, community engagement / development)
    • Healthcare industry preferred but not required
    • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills with a proven track record building relationships in the community
    • Strong project management capabilities
  • Education, Experience, Licensure, or Certification Requirements
    • High School Diploma or Equivalent
    • Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree preferred
