Community Resource Navigator - Immigrant and Refugee Services

About the role

Join our team as a Community Resource Navigator today! This position supports the Child Care Business Development program, focusing on application support to clients seeking to become registered childcare providers. Prefer Karen language proficiency. Hours are based on program need.

What You'll Do

• Provide direct support services to LSI clients
• Aid clients in overcoming language and cultural differences and reduce barriers to work towards community integration and self-sufficiency
• Facilitate support clients in educational activities and workshops to maximize clients' understanding and utilization of LSI services and community resources
• Communicate information to clients from educational classes, appointments, and paperwork
• Work with community partners, volunteers, and other LSI staff to ensure high-quality services to clients in a plan of action that supports client goals

What You'll Need

• A high school diploma/GED and 6 months related experience
• The ability to communicate successfully in English and at least one other language to meet the needs of populations served
• Lived experience may be considered qualifying

Requirements

• A valid driver's license, auto insurance, a good driving record
• The ability to pass an extensive background check including checks of the Dependent Adult and Child Abuse registries, Sex Offender registry, and a criminal history check
