Community Relations Coordinator

The ideal candidate will possess sales and business development experience in an assisted living, healthcare, hospitality, or similar environment. You should hold a thorough working knowledge of the industry and be able to market our exceptional assisted living residences and services to the surrounding community with expertise, professionalism, and panache. This position is 80% inside sales and 20% outreach (one day per week).

Responsibilities

  • Greet all visitors in a warm, friendly, and engaging manner
  • Answer inquiry calls with a professional demeanor and obtain information to schedule visits
  • Strategically collaborate with the Executive Director to create an effective resident referral program and convert referrals to residents
  • Conduct tours of the community for prospective residents and their families
  • Maintain an active prospect database using Salesforce
  • Collaborate with The Bristal and other community referral sources
  • Follow sales training systems and incorporate methods from sales training manuals
  • Follow up regularly with prospective residents and make a minimum number of outgoing calls per day to schedule visits
  • Follow up regularly with referral sources and allocate one day of outreach per week to doctors, elder law attorneys, hospitals, rehabs, etc.
  • Complete all required move-in paperwork and collect rent monies due prior to move-in
  • Assist new residents in getting acclimated
  • Manage all marketing inventory, as directed
  • Create and/or host various marketing and sales events
  • Conduct ongoing networking with outside referral sources
  • Belong to and attend SUN (Senior Umbrella Network) and at least one additional local community association’s meeting each month
  • Oversee the accuracy of available apartment inventory
  • Maintain weekly traffic and census reports and complete a weekly outreach report
  • Complete quarterly marketing strategy and competitive analysis reports for the Executive Director, Senior Vice President of Operations, and VP of Marketing
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Marketing preferred
  • Sales or business development experience in an assisted living, healthcare, hospitality, or similar environment preferred
  • A proven ability to meet or exceed sales objectives
  • Ability to “close the deal”
  • Top-notch prospecting, networking, relationship-building, and new business development skills
  • Ability to connect as a trusted advocate and sell in a consultative manner
  • Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Professional image and an eye for excellence in detail
  • Exceptional telephone and communication skills
  • Ability to relate well to seniors, their families, and their advocates
  • Natural organizational skills with the ability to concentrate on many tasks at once
  • Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Must be a Notary Public or be committed to obtaining a license within 6 months of hire
  • Patience, perseverance, and follow-through

Schedule

Full-time schedule requires working one weekend day per week (Tues–Sat, 9:00 AM–5:30 PM).
