About the Role

Summit Property Management is hiring Community Managers for Dallas locations. The Community Manager manages core business processes and leads the on-site team to ensure a well-maintained, profitable, and resident-focused community.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and manage community rental rates to maximize income
  • Address resident complaints, concerns, and requests appropriately
  • Maintain the community’s appearance and ensure necessary maintenance is reported and completed
  • Implement creative, self-created strategies and marketing initiatives as prescribed by the Marketing Department
  • Partner with the Resident Services Team in processing applications, preparing and typing leases, and completing all necessary paperwork via Bluemoon
  • Ensure apartments are ready for move-in on the scheduled date and welcome and orient new residents
  • Control expenses within the annual budget
  • Ensure deposits, rental payments, and all other charges are collected in a timely manner
  • Set work schedules for all on-site employees and lead by example to support team development

Requirements

  • 3+ years of multifamily Property Manager experience with affordable/housing experience (required)
  • Knowledge of Fair Housing regulations
  • High school diploma or equivalent; college-level education strongly preferred
  • Computer proficiency, including MS Office: Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • OneSite and Bluemoon experience preferred
  • Industry designations strongly preferred

Physical Demands

  • Periodically sedentary but requires mobility (e.g., climbing stairs or squatting) to tour and inspect apartments/communities
  • Involves sitting, walking, or standing for prolonged periods and stooping for brief periods
  • Repetitive motion of the hands and wrists associated with using a computer
