Job Requirements

The Community President position involves overseeing branch sales activities and results. Key responsibilities include:

  • Create, monitor, and maintain action plans to achieve branch goals supporting WaterStone Bank's strategic objectives, budgetary controls, and profitability.
  • Maintain a strong, visible, and positive presence in the community through involvement in community events/organizations and engaging in small business activities to promote the bank’s products and services to prospective business customers.
  • Work with the Regional Manager to ensure adequate staffing, handle employee situations, conduct interviews, hire, monitor employee progression, discipline, or terminate employees when necessary, recommend promotions, salary adjustments, and rewards, motivate, coach, and develop retail staff through education, technical, and sales training, constructive feedback, and performance management ensuring staff provides prompt, efficient, and accurate service according to WSB's service expectations.
  • Submit referrals to other appropriate lines of business including, Residential lending, Business Banking, Commercial Real Estate, WIS, and Merchant Services.
  • Maintain knowledge of WSB's core processing system, products and services, policies and procedures, and regulatory requirements governing retail accounts.
  • Plan, coordinate, and manage branch's administrative and operational processes and workflow procedures. Identify and recommend reasonable changes to policies, procedures, and products.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifications for this position include:

  • 3 - 5 years sales and supervisory experience
  • 3 - 5 years business development experience
  • Prioritization of these qualifications may vary based on the candidate's experience and background.

  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in using WSB's core processing system and products and services
