About the role

This is a part-time 1099 contract role serving the metro Atlanta market, with field-based outreach and hybrid administrative time. The schedule is approximately 15–20 hours per week, with flexible daytime scheduling within business hours. The role reports to the Marketing Department.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, research, and prioritize referral-generating organizations across metro Atlanta.
  • Reach case managers, discharge planners, social workers, care coordinators, and clinic managers who influence referral flow.
  • Conduct in-person meetings and in-service presentations explaining which patients RRCS is right for, which it is not, and how to make a referral quickly.
  • Convert first referrals into ongoing relationships through documented follow-up and re-engage inactive partners.
  • Serve as a professional point of contact for referral sources, close the loop within patient authorization and applicable privacy-law limits, and surface referral-pathway friction for resolution.
  • Document unmet community need, service and language gaps, competitor activity, payer friction, and emerging populations.
  • Maintain complete CRM records, submit a one-page weekly scorecard, participate in a short weekly pipeline review, and deliver a monthly Community Intelligence Report.

Requirements

  • Two or more years developing referral relationships or business in healthcare or a related field, such as behavioral health, hospital outreach, home health, hospice, provider relations, managed care, community health, case management, social services, medical sales, or pharmaceutical sales.
  • A working understanding of how behavioral-health referrals move, including referral decision-makers, common barriers, and the effect of insurance verification on timing.
  • Credibility with clinical and social-service professionals, strong follow-up discipline, comfort with CRM systems and outcome measurement, cultural humility, and sound judgment around healthcare compliance.
  • Existing relationships in the metro Atlanta market are a significant advantage. Multilingual candidates and candidates with established trust in East African, Latino, Francophone, Caribbean, or other immigrant and refugee communities are strongly encouraged to apply.
  • A bachelor’s degree is preferred; equivalent relevant experience will be considered.

Qualifications

  • The successful candidate must be authorized to work in the United States and able to pass a background check consistent with applicable state requirements.
  • HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, and healthcare anti-kickback training must be completed before field activity, along with RRCS confidentiality and compliance agreements.
  • This is not a clinical or patient-facing role and does not involve assessing, treating, triaging, or providing clinical advice.
