About the role
As the Community Outreach Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in individuals' lives, making a significant impact through:
- Provide crisis, individual, and family counseling on a short-term basis to residential and non-residential youth who have: run away, are at risk of running away, have been kicked out of their homes, or are homeless.
- Share 24-hour on-call responsibilities on a rotating schedule.
- Deliver comprehensive case management services, including referrals, advocacy, consultations, aftercare, and follow-up support.
- Assist youth and their families by offering guidance, education on legal rights and options, and supportive encouragement to help them achieve established goals.
- Conduct screenings and assessments, develop individualized service plans, and coordinate parental notification.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1 to 3 years experience working with at-risk youth
- Valid NYS Driver's License
Pay
$17.00 – $19.00 per hour
Schedule
- Monday/Wednesday/Friday: 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- Tuesday/Thursday: 12:30 PM – 8:00 PM
- Possible weekends and weeknights, subject to call
