Community Outreach Coordinator

Position Summary
The Community Engagement Coordinator serves as UC&L's primary field liaison — building relationships with Unity ministries, leaders, and communities and creating/maintaining relevant resources to strengthen the movement from the ground up. This role bridges Unity World Headquarters and the field, ensuring ministries are supported, empowered, and equipped for vitality and growth.
Essential Job Functions
- Build and maintain effective relationships with ministry leaders, board members, regional representatives, and community stakeholders. Conduct regular check-ins to assess needs, celebrate progress, and provide practical support.
- Support ministries through transitions, leadership changes, governance challenges, and seasons of difficulty by connecting them with appropriate UC&L resources and guidance.
- Support the development and maintenance of field-ready governance tools — codes of conduct, bylaws templates, policies and procedures — for easy and widespread ministry use.
- Coordinate with Marketing to develop adaptable digital resources that support ministries in field-driven priorities such as welcoming newcomers, promoting their communities, and running capital and legacy campaigns.
- Support the development of scalable, innovative programming that expands how Unity communities gather, learn, and grow.
- Collect and track data on current ministry statistics and trends in our Unity movement.
- Gather, document, and share field best practices so ministries can learn from one another's successes.
- Facilitate dynamic field communication and participation in our Circle platform, including formal and pop-up online and in-person training sessions.
- Travel as needed for field visits, regional gatherings, and to Unity Village (if remote) for team collaboration and planning.
- Represent Unity’s movement architecture with clarity, consistency, and enthusiasm.
- Regular and reliable attendance; adherence to assigned schedule. – this is a hybrid or remote position.
- Comply with all organizational policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
- Utilize electronic time management system to input time, attendance, and paid time off requests.
Education
Bachelor’s degree preferred in ministry, leadership, organizational development, or related field.
Experience
- Ordained Unity Minister or Licensed Unity Teacher preferred. Lay leaders with at least 5 years of active Unity study and involvement will be considered.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in ministry leadership, community engagement, church support, or nonprofit community-facing roles.
- Demonstrated experience building relationships and working across diverse communities.
- Familiarity with Unity theology, governance, and ministry culture.

- Competence with Microsoft Office, digital platforms, and interest in AI.
