About the Role

BODYROK is seeking a Community & Operations Manager to be the face of our brand in West University, Houston. This role is responsible for building local community partnerships, managing day-to-day studio operations, and driving growth. As we expand in Houston, this position will play a key role in establishing BODYROK’s presence and fostering a strong local community.

Responsibilities

  • Build and manage relationships with local businesses, apartment communities, offices, running clubs, and other organizations to drive new client visits.
  • Own local/grassroots marketing efforts, including pop-ups, events, partnerships, and community activations.
  • Drive the studio's new-member funnel, from first visit to membership conversion, working closely with the front desk/sales team.
  • Oversee day-to-day studio operations, including scheduling, performance, and management of Studio Advisors (front desk/sales staff).
  • Manage payroll for all studio staff, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Manage the studio's local social media presence and community engagement online and in-person.
  • Track and report on community/growth initiatives and studio operational metrics.
  • Represent BODYROK's brand and values at every community touchpoint, creating a memorable member experience.

Requirements

  • Deep familiarity with the Houston / West University community, or the ability to quickly learn and integrate into the neighborhood.
  • Experience in community engagement, grassroots/local marketing, sales, or membership growth, preferably in boutique fitness, hospitality, or a related field.
  • Experience managing staff and handling payroll/administrative operations.
  • Strong relationship-building skills, with the confidence to initiate partnership conversations.
  • Self-starter mindset, capable of building a growth plan from scratch.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to represent the brand on social media and in person.

Qualifications

  • Experience in boutique fitness, hospitality, or a relationship-driven field is preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage staff and operations effectively.

Pay

Base salary: $60,000-$70,000/year, based on experience.
