About the role

The Community Office Manager is responsible for managing an assigned Community Office to meet the financial services needs of customers in the community. This role involves implementing strategies to achieve office goals, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures, and directly supervising staff.

Responsibilities

  • Manage an assigned Community Office to meet financial services needs of customers in the community.
  • Implement strategies to achieve office goals, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures and outside regulatory requirements.
  • Directly supervise staff within the office and independently interact with customers towards a mutual benefit.
  • Lead by example for every member of the Community office team in creating a consistently exceptional customer service experience.
  • Mentor, coach and develop staff in their ability to communicate effectively bank products/services in an effort to achieve sales goals.
  • Manage internal sales experience of the Community Office; create motivation and sales culture.
  • Provide timely sales information and/or reports.
  • Support Group Manager, Retail Banking in their efforts to ensure all office operations are performed in accordance with established Bank policies and procedures.
  • Establish quantitative sales objectives with Retail Regional Managers.
  • Develop individual sales plans for targeted achievement.
  • Independently solicit new business from present and prospective customers; maintain ongoing business relationships with current customers to take advantage of additional cross-selling opportunities.
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of the features and benefits of all bank products and services to ascertain customer needs and to sell in conjunction with these needs.
  • Make “outside” sales and customer service calls on present and prospective clients within the market area.
  • Oversee office platform and remedy customer situations.
  • Provide direct service to customers with respect to deposit, loan, trust, and other miscellaneous products and services.
  • Able to open and close the Community Office.
  • Assist customers in obtaining specialized services from other bank departments as necessary; provide help to customers with specific inquiries or service problems.
  • Guarantee signatures as required.
  • Administer as needed, personnel policies and procedures as established by Bank policy.
  • Participate in the community in a manner that reflects favorably on the bank.

Requirements

  • A B.S. or B.A. degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience normally required.
  • Specialized banking education and training.
  • Notary certification or willingness to obtain as requested.
  • A minimum of three (3) years' related banking experience required.

  • Administers as needed, personnel policies and procedures as established by Bank policy.
  • Actively participates in the community in a manner that reflects favorably on the bank.
