Community Manager - HOA Property Management- South Austin
We seek positive and motivated professionals who want to make a complete career change to property and HOA community management. No prior experience is required, as our education company will provide an industry-leading foundation. The initial training lasts one year, and you will become an industry expert within three years. Mentors will be assigned to support your skill development. This education will serve you well in future roles within our company or externally.
About the role
As a Community Manager, you will be the face of our organization, acting as a liaison between HOA boards, homeowners, and vendors. The role is multifaceted, requiring ownership of tasks, customer service excellence, vendor relationship management, and oversight of your portfolio of communities—all with a positive attitude.
Responsibilities
- Passionately live our Same Day Response Policy.
- Engage with board members and homeowners in your community.
- Manage daily, weekly, and monthly tasks for a portfolio of associations.
- Plan for and facilitate association board meetings and annual meetings.
- Handle vendor relations, including bidding and project management.
- Consult with other departments to support your communities.
- Provide risk management, insurance, and litigation support.
- Prepare budgets and manage the finances of the associations.
- Be available for after-hours emergencies.
- Additional tasks as necessary.
Requirements
- Approximately 8+ years of solid work experience in roles requiring proactive effort and decision-making (e.g., retail, hospitality, administration, operations, or office management).
- Ability to attend or run evening meetings (usually 30-40 per year).
- High-level organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Ability to quickly learn other business computer systems.
- Strong customer-friendly and informative communication skills.
- Some experience with financial statements and budgets.
- Comfort with public speaking in small and large meetings.
- Great conflict management skills for sometimes stressful situations.
- Experience gathering bids for large projects and managing those projects.
Training
- Assigned a Community Manager Mentor as an on-the-job guide.
- Part of a "tribe" of community managers with varying experience levels for peer learning.
- Completion of a unique in-house, web-based learning academy.
- Ongoing updates on changes in laws and seasonal topics.

Pay
Annual salary of $57,500.00 with reviews and performance increase opportunities every 6 months.
Schedule
- Training phase: First 6 months in the local office.
