Community Manager (CA)
About the role
Seabreeze Management Company is seeking a Community Manager to join our team. This position is responsible for assisting multiple Boards of Directors in developing the overall operational strategy of their Association, implementing the Boards' goals, monitoring and reporting status of implemented goals to the Boards, maintaining client relationships, and overseeing various aspects of Association management.
Responsibilities
- Aid in developing and implementing the operational strategy of multiple Boards of Directors.
- Monitor and report on the status of implemented goals to the Boards.
- Maintain strong client relationships with the Boards by serving as a liaison between the Boards and the management company.
- Develop fiscal management policies and procedures to protect each assigned Association's assets and maintain property values.
- Review financial reports and adhere to budgets.
- Oversee the bidding process for third-party vendors.
- Manage homeowner assessment delinquencies and oversee collection efforts.
- Prepare the annual budget by analyzing prior expenditures and assessing new expenditure needs.
- Administer all legal issues and ensure Association policy and procedure adherence, compliance with governing documents or corporate and civil code, and state and federal obligations.
- Maintain all communications with the Boards, creating weekly/monthly reports and action item lists.
- Manage and maintain past and current Association records and files.
- Prepare and attend all Board meetings, including Executive Session and General Session meetings.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in the industry, managing homeowner’s associations, city government, or related experience.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and creative thinking skills.
- Excellent, effective, and diplomatic verbal and written communication skills.
- Understanding of project management, budget management, and strategic goal development.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- CCAM® designation and/or CMCA® and AMS® designations desirable.
- License/Permits/Certifications Required: CCAM® designation and/or CMCA® and AMS® designations.
- Availability: Regular business hours Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm, and availability for Board meetings after regular business hours, as necessary.
Qualifications
