Contract assignment based in Huron, California, supporting both residential and commercial property activities.
About the role
Oversee day-to-day property operations with a focus on maintaining strong occupancy, responsive tenant service, and compliant site administration. The ideal candidate brings practical property management experience and can balance resident relations, vendor coordination, and operational priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Direct daily management activities across assigned residential and commercial properties, ensuring smooth operations and a positive occupant experience.
- Build strong relationships with residents, tenants, owners, and service providers while addressing questions, concerns, and service requests in a timely manner.
- Coordinate leasing support, unit or space readiness, inspections, and routine property walkthroughs to uphold site standards.
- Monitor rent collection, ledger accuracy, and basic financial tracking while helping maintain budget awareness and cost control.
- Oversee vendor scheduling and maintenance follow-up to ensure repairs, preventive work, and property services are completed properly.
- Maintain organized property records, lease documentation, compliance files, and reporting required for internal and external stakeholders.
- Support HUD-related administrative and occupancy processes in accordance with applicable guidelines and property requirements.
- Identify operational issues proactively and recommend practical solutions that improve efficiency, resident satisfaction, and property performance.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in property management, community management, or a closely related role.
- Working knowledge of residential property operations and commercial property oversight.
- Experience within a property management company environment or managing multiple property stakeholders.
- Familiarity with HUD programs, documentation standards, or compliance-related processes.
- Strong communication and customer service skills with the ability to handle tenant and resident concerns professionally.
- Ability to organize competing priorities, manage records accurately, and follow through on operational tasks.
- Proficiency with standard office systems and property-related administrative documentation.
