About the role

The House Manager at The Arc Baltimore is responsible for overseeing daily operations within a residential setting, ensuring the well-being and safety of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This role involves supporting staff, managing logistics, and implementing person-centered planning.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure opportunities for meaningful relationships and social integration for individuals receiving services.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and policies.
  • Communicate with clinical services and supervisors regarding emotional and mental health issues.
  • Implement and document behavior support plans.
  • Aid in the Person-Centered Planning process, tracking progress towards individual goals.
  • Coordinate medical services and ensure adherence to prescribed treatments.
  • Participate in the hiring process for Direct Support Professionals, providing training, coaching, and supervision.
  • Conduct and document regular supervision meetings with staff.
  • Train staff on individualized person-centered plans annually.
  • Organize and attend monthly house meetings.
  • Collaborate with external agencies and stakeholders to support employment aspirations.
  • Communicate regularly with family, friends, and service providers.
  • Ensure accurate and timely input of medical and PCP data in iCM.
  • Review and sign 45-day nursing reviews.
  • Schedule staff according to budgeted hours and monitor overtime usage.
  • Manage grocery and supply shopping, ensuring proper food purchases align with dietary needs.
  • Conduct and document monthly site inspections, addressing maintenance issues promptly.
  • Ensure proper vehicle maintenance and log completion.

Requirements

  • At least 20 years of age.
  • A high school diploma or GED.
  • At least 3 years of experience working with people with developmental disabilities.
  • Certified Medication Technician (CMT) certification from the Maryland Board of Nursing.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
  • Ability to transport individuals as needed and meet agency’s driving requirements.
