Community Interpreting Instructor

Job Duties And Responsibilities

• Teach WLS-325 and WLS-326 (Foundations of Community Interpreting Parts 1 & 2).
• Assess and record student progress and attendance.
• Meet required deadlines for submitting grades and other administrative tasks.
• Participate in department professional learning events.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (master's degree preferred).
• Language proficiency in at least two languages (ACTFL Advanced High or above, or equivalent).
• Completion of 40-hour community interpreter Train the Trainer course by June 30, with department funds covering the cost.
• Professional simultaneous and/or sequential interpreting experience.
• Adult education or teaching experience in both face-to-face and online formats.
