Community Housing Support Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a mission-driven and dedicated Community Housing Support Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have two years of experience providing direct behavioral health services to individuals with severe mental illness, co-occurring substance use disorders, or intellectual/developmental disabilities. Post-secondary education in a related field can substitute for up to one year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized, community-based support
• Coordinate appointments and care transitions
• Develop and maintain daily living skills
• Ensure Assisted Living Home Standards are met at assigned locations
• Support person-centered goals and overall wellbeing
• Balance direct client interaction with essential administrative responsibilities such as documentation and care coordination
• Foster a supportive, structured environment that encourages independence and long-term stability

Requirements

• Valid driver's license with the ability to clear JAMHI auto insurance screening
• Coursework in behavioral health, social work, or a related field
• Training in Mental Health First Aid, Crisis Intervention, or Motivational Interviewing

Pay

Pay rates offered are determined based on a standardized scale that considers relevant experience and education. The pay range is $25.50 - $32.38 per hour.
