Community Homes Supervisor

About the role

Lifesteps is hiring a Full-Time Supervisor to oversee a Residential Group Home and Direct Care Staff in the Bellevue / Westview area of Pittsburgh, PA. Lifesteps is a non-profit human services organization serving Western Pennsylvania for over 100 years, helping individuals and families with life's changing needs. The agency provides programs and services to help those with special needs live to their fullest potential.

Responsibilities

• Oversee overall management and day-to-day operations of the Residential Community Living home.
• Supervise and manage direct care staff, including scheduling, training, coaching, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions.
• Oversee care provided to individuals with special needs.
• Assist with caregiving duties.
• Maintain documentation such as fire drills, client progress notes, medication administration, etc.
• Support individuals to improve quality of life and live as independently as possible in home and community.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Three (3) years of experience in human services, direct care, caregiving, TSS, Home Health Aide, C.N.A., DSP, or a related position.
• Current driver's license.
• Ability to obtain Medication Administration Certification within 6 months of hire.
• Ability to obtain First Aid/CPR certification within 6 months of hire.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, or move up to 200 lbs. with assistance.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree or equivalent credits (60) and 2 years of experience in human services or caregiving field.
• Bachelor's Degree and 1 year of experience in human services, social services, or a related field.
