Community Homes Supervisor

About the role

Lifesteps is a non-profit human services organization serving Western Pennsylvania for over 100 years, dedicated to helping individuals and families with life's changing needs. This position oversees a Residential Group Home in Delmont, PA, supporting individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities to live as independently as possible.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of the Residential Community Living home
• Directly supervise community home staff, including scheduling, training, and performance reviews
• Oversee care provided to individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities
• Assist with caregiving duties as needed
• Maintain documentation such as fire drills, client progress notes, and medication administration

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Three (3) years of experience in a human service, direct care, caregiver, TSS, Home Health Aide, C.N.A., DSP, or related position
• Current driver’s license
• Obtain Medication Administration Certification within 6 months of hire
• First Aid/CPR certified within 6 months of hire
• Able to lift, push, pull, or move up to 200 lbs. with assistance

Qualifications (Preferred)

• Associate Degree or equivalent credits (60) and 2 years of experience in a human service or caregiving field
• Bachelor’s Degree and 1 year of experience in a human service, social service, or related field
• Degrees in Education, Special Education, Counseling, Therapy, Psychology, Sociology, Social Services, Transition Programming, Nursing, Health Administration, or similar fields

Schedule

• Full-time, 40 hours per week
• Primarily Daylight shift: 7 am to 3 pm, with one 3 pm to 11 pm shift per week
• On-call duties required
