Pay
$3,631.00 - $5,434.00 monthly ($43,572.00 - $65,208.00 annually).
Schedule

Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree.
- One year of full-time experience in one or a combination of the following:
- Planning public health or community services.
- Developing programs or coordinating grants.
- Coordinating activities for non-profit agencies, grant analysis, or business development.
Substitution of Experience for Education: Qualifying experience in planning public health or community services may substitute for the required education to a maximum of four years (1:1 year of full work to year of education).
Valid Tennessee driver’s license with a clean record for the past five years (no DUI, reckless driving, license suspension for moving violations, or more than 4 moving violations).
Responsibilities
- Assist staff in training health council members, including teaching strategic planning processes and community problem diagnosis.
- Identify educational needs, develop formal training programs, and instruct others.
- Analyze data and community assessment information to identify underlying principles, reasons, or facts.
- Analyze demographics, disease incidents, TennCare population, and behavioral risk statistics to present to community stakeholders and identify priorities.
- Identify key community stakeholders for council/coalition membership and ensure they diagnose community problems.
- Facilitate community outreach discussions to prioritize problems and identify obtainable resources.
- Collect county/state/national health-related data, including demographics, disease incidents, TennCare population, and behavioral risk statistics.
- Compile, code, categorize, calculate, tabulate, or verify information from community outreach activities.
- Allocate resources to department projects to ensure sufficient funding for key initiatives.
- Schedule events, programs, and activities for community outreach.
