About the role
Looking for someone fun, warm, reliable and engaging to play video games and board games with, help prepare basic meals for, etc. our autistic 16-year-old son. He’s bright and verbal and interested in history, finance, etc., but very emotionally/socially immature. Gets easily frustrated and can explode; we need someone patient and kind. You will be slowly trying to get him more independent and out and about in the world.
Responsibilities
- Engage in video games and board games with the son
- Assist with preparing basic meals
- Support efforts to increase independence and community involvement
Requirements
- Must be 18+
- Documented to work in the US
- Willing to obtain a background check
- Willing to register with AIM Services
Schedule
- Hours are flexible and can either change week to week or be set, your preference
- Hours can range from 10–30 hours per week
- Available weekdays 2:30–7:30 pm & anytime Saturday & Sunday
