Field-based within assigned geography/ some Remote/ Founders Lodge (in office one day per week)

What You Will Do

  • New Member & Girl Recruitment: Execute local recruitment strategies to attract new girls and families within the assigned territory. Represent the organization at schools, community events, open houses, and recruitment activities. Partner with marketing and growth teams to support regional and grassroots outreach efforts.
  • Troop / Group Launch & Expansion: Lead the formation and launch of new troops or groups, including identifying opportunities and matching leaders with participants. Support new troop startups through onboarding, early-stage guidance, and coordination with internal teams. Ensure new troops are set up for success with clear processes, resources, and connections.
  • Community Outreach & Local Partnerships: Build and maintain relationships with schools, community centers, nonprofits, faith-based organizations, and local businesses. Identify partnership opportunities that increase visibility and access to potential members. Serve as a trusted local representative and ambassador for the organization.
  • Active Field Presence: Maintain a visible and engaged presence within the assigned territory. Attend community meetings, events, and gatherings to strengthen awareness and relationships. Stay informed about local demographics, schools, and community trends that impact growth.
  • Volunteer & Troop Support: Provide ongoing support to existing volunteers and troops, ensuring they feel connected and supported. Answer questions, troubleshoot challenges, and connect volunteers to appropriate resources. Partner with retention and experience teams to identify risks, celebrate successes, and encourage continued involvement.

Required

  • Experience in community engagement, outreach, recruitment, or related field.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Comfort working independently in a field-based role.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities across a geographic territory.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally as needed.
  • Membership in the Girl Scout organization and subscription to the tenets of the Girl Scout Promise and Law.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends required.
  • Current valid drivers’ license, proof of vehicle insurance, and vehicle availability.
  • Ability to travel to sites within the Council’s jurisdiction.

Preferred

  • Experience in nonprofit, membership-based, or youth-serving organizations.
  • Background working with volunteers.
  • Knowledge of local community networks, schools, or family-serving systems.
