About the role

As a Community Gift Advisor, you'll grow alongside the best-of-the-best, helping Yellowstone Foundation build meaningful, trust-based relationships with donors and introduce them to gift opportunities that align with their values and financial goals. This is a front-facing, public-facing role — group presentations, one-on-one advising, and a seat on a champion-level team that offers real solutions to support children in need at the Yellowstone Boys and Girls Ranch and beyond.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain relationships with donors through personalized communication and events
  • Identify and pursue potential gifts that align with donor values and financial goals
  • Prepare and present gift options to donors during group meetings and one-on-one sessions
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure comprehensive support for donor initiatives
  • Represent the organization at various events and functions to foster engagement and support
  • Work closely with the team to develop and implement strategies for planned giving

Requirements

  • Proven track record in donor relations and gift planning
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working with nonprofit organizations preferred

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., philanthropic studies, nonprofit management)
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in donor relations or similar field
  • Experience with CRM systems and database management

Skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with donors
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of gift planning concepts and strategies
