COMMUNITY & FAN ENGAGEMENT INTERN FALL 2026

For-credit internship opportunity with the Worcester Railers HC (ECHL) for the Fall/Winter 2026 semester. Candidates must be current college students able to dedicate 10–15 hours per week, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

About the role

Interns will represent the Worcester Railers brand throughout the Worcester community and at the DCU Center, attending all requested Railers HC events (including 90 % of home games). Opportunities to work office hours during the week and participate in community events may also be available.

Responsibilities

• Attend all Railers HC events as requested, including 90 % of home games
• Represent the Worcester Railers brand in the Worcester community and at the DCU Center
• Assist staff with game-day activities and office duties
• Participate in community events and outings

Requirements

• Must receive college credit for the internship
• Available to work 10–15 hours per week, including nights and weekends
• Available to work the majority of home games during the Fall/Winter semester
• Must have reliable transportation and live in Worcester or surrounding areas

Qualifications

• Pursuit of a degree in Community/Public Relations, Sports Management, Marketing, or Business Management preferred
• Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Strong communication skills and telephone etiquette
• Ability to multi-task and handle a variety of projects
• Ability to interact and communicate effectively with fans of all ages
• Basic knowledge of ice hockey encouraged but not required
