Description

Girl Scouts hosts events, workshops, and community programs throughout the year—and Event Support Volunteers help make those experiences possible.

In this role, you might help set up and clean up, greet families, check in participants, guide girls between activities, hand out supplies, support a station leader, or help keep events running smoothly behind the scenes. Some events are planned by local volunteers in a service unit, while others are led by council staff. No matter the event, your help creates a welcoming and fun experience for girls and families.

About GSHNC

Girl Scouts builds courage, confidence, and character in girls through hands-on experiences, supportive mentors, and opportunities to try new things. We’re looking for caring adults and community partners who want to help girls grow, learn, and lead—whether that means supporting a troop meeting, hosting a field trip, teaching a skill, helping at an event, or opening doors in the community. No previous Girl Scout experience is required—just a willingness to show up, encourage girls, and make a difference.

  • Sign up for one event or multiple events throughout the year
  • Most opportunities take place on evenings or weekends
  • Volunteer shifts may range from 2–6 hours depending on the event
  • Great option for adults who want to help occasionally without a weekly commitment
