Community Engagement Specialist
Role and Responsibilities
Collaborates with Program Director, Medical Director, Corporate Director of Analytic Resources and Communication Director on project design, implementation, and evaluation.
Serves a primary clinical resource and brand ambassador, within and outside the organization, on assigned contract aims goals and objectives.
In collaboration with Program Director acts as a resource within and outside of the organization on standards of care, quality improvement processes, and quality improvement data for assigned contract aims.
Affords assistance to Program Director with preparation of periodic and special reports on program status and contract deliverables.
Accountable for meeting all regional aim specific contract deliverables and requirements and tracking of project plans, milestones and deliverables.
Ensures the task specific aim deliverables are completed across the network and submit for approval by Program Director.
Coordinates with the management team, the facilitation of aim specific domain-specific educational programs for healthcare providers, including Learning and Action Networks to introduce selected aim-specific health topics to clinicians and/or providers.
Establishes and maintains professional relationships with internal and external customers for assigned aim specific domain.
Onboards new staff on aim specific domain objectives, process and outcomes goals, deliverables, improvement goals related task domain.
Affords assistance in troubleshooting potential and/or current problems in achieving contract milestones, goals, and outcomes.
Skills / Professional Competencies Required
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Demonstrated experience within the specific task domain.
Demonstrated experience in healthcare quality improvement tools that lead to large scale change and improvement in healthcare processes to reduce waste and promote value in healthcare expenditures.
Demonstrated experience in performance measures, quality improvement methodologies, project evaluation and analysis of trends for in project metric results.
Demonstrated experience in management at regional task domain level that includes strategic planning, risk management, change management, spreading large scale change, data analysis, project management techniques and tools, defining project tasks and resource requirements and support to project team, coordination, implementation, execution, management and successful implementation of projects.
Demonstrated experience with having the authority and accountability for meeting all task domain contract requirements and deliverables at regional level within budget and in using appropriate project management tools and reports to track plans and timeliness.
Minimum Education/Training Required
Bachelor’s degree in related business or healthcare area of study.
Master’s degree preferred.
Minimum Experience Required
Five or more years of full time experience in a healthcare related field with at least three years in a program management capacity.
Project management experience with federal government contracts preferred.
Substitution(s)
Associate degree in nursing with two additional years of program administration experience may substitute for the Bachelor’s degree.
