Responsibilities
- Deliver client services, including intake, service planning, life skills training, and coordination of other services to achieve client goals.
- Support and supervise brain injury survivors.
- Provide transportation and training on using transportation for brain injury survivors to meet their service needs.
- Document monthly progress towards identified goals.
- Maintain ongoing communications with program/agency staff and service providers.
- Provide crisis intervention and access emergency services to clients as needed.
- Identify and address community integration issues for clients on caseload or as designated.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred with 1 year of relevant experience.
- Psychology, social work, special education, recreation therapy, communication sciences and disorders, sociology, kinesiology/exercise science graduates and pre-med gap year candidates encouraged to apply.
- Must be able to perform essential duties satisfactorily.
- Must have sensitivity to the needs of the population.
- Strong computer knowledge required.
- Strong analytical, numerical, and reasoning abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to read English and communicate effectively in the primary language of the program.
- Valid drivers' license required.
- Operational and insured vehicle access required.
- Demonstrated understanding and competence in serving culturally diverse populations.
