Community Engagement Manager, Audio
Stability AI is the enterprise-ready partner for teams and creators, delivering professional-grade generative AI products and solutions across audio, image, video, and 3D. In August 2022, we released Stable Diffusion and sparked the generative AI revolution. Since then, Stable Diffusion models have been downloaded over 350 million times, becoming the technical backbone for an entire ecosystem of creators. We build for creatives first, expanding beyond models into products and solutions designed for how creative people work across music, gaming, entertainment, and marketing. Our artist-centric approach has made us the strategic partner for Electronic Arts, Universal Music Group, Warner Music Group, WPP, and others. Stability AI is recognized among Fortune's 50 AI Innovators and TIME's Most Influential Companies, with Stable Audio on TIME's Best Inventions list.
About the role
As the Community Engagement Manager for the Stability AI audio vertical, you will nurture the community around Stable Audio, our family of audio models and suite of products, spanning musicians, producers, developers, and researchers. This is a music-native community and content role focused on building and executing engagement programs that help people create with our models and products, learn from our team, and share their work. You'll operate at the intersection of research, product, and go-to-market, acting as the voice of the community inside Stability AI and the voice of Stability AI inside the community.
Responsibilities
- Grow and support the community for Stability AI’s audio vertical.
- Build a network of advocates, early adopters, and power users who help each other build and create with generative audio.
- Design and run community programs such as hands-on workshops, office hours, local events, hackathons, demo days, research roundtables, and creator challenges.
- Create educational content across channels showcasing generative audio use cases, model and product capabilities, and best practices that help community members succeed.
- Work collaboratively with research and engineering teams to create hands-on resources including quickstarts, tutorials, use-case playbooks, and ecosystem partner guides.
- Drive adoption with musicians, developers, and researchers by engaging with platforms like Discord, GitHub, Reddit, X, Instagram, and YouTube.
- Capture community insights, identifying questions and use cases and translating them into recommendations for product, research, and GTM.
- Own community health metrics tied to engagement and adoption, including Discord activity, event attendance, newsletter growth, model downloads, and published community work.
Requirements
- Deep music background, ideally as a musician, producer, DJ, or music content creator, with hands-on experience using AI creative tools and audio workflows in real projects.
- Embedded in music, AI, and builder communities; you know where the conversations are happening and are comfortable engaging as a peer in forums where credibility is earned through usefulness and technical fluency.
- Good judgment about what will resonate authentically with musical and technical audiences; ability to balance professionalism with authenticity, shaping tactics and messaging that feels credible, human, and native to the space.
- Ability to design and run community programs that generate meaningful engagement, adoption, and long-term participation.
- Strong track record in developer relations, technical community management, or creator ecosystem roles in AI, audio/music tech, developer tools, or closely related domains.
- Solid track record of delivering high-quality, end-to-end outcomes with ownership, urgency, and accountability; you consistently produce results despite challenges like complexity and uncertainty.
- Collaborative working style: you deliver value independently, proactively seek help when needed, leverage and improve the team's core processes, and treat mistakes as opportunities for learning and growth.
- Commitment to growing your craft; you invest in your own development, seek out opportunities to learn new domains, and are on your way to becoming an expert in one or more aspects of community building.
