Community & Engagement Manager
About the role
WR Immigration is a global immigration firm known worldwide for its innovation, technology, high-touch legal services, and flawless execution. With offices across multiple time zones, the firm provides corporate global visa services in over 100 countries. The Community & Engagement Manager leads WR Immigration's community strategy, including the Immigration Benchmarking Collective, thought leadership, educational programming, and executive events. Working closely with the Marketing and cross-functional leaders, this highly visible role drives member engagement, content, events, partnerships, and business development initiatives that strengthen WR's relationships and market presence. The ideal candidate is a strategic, hands-on community builder who develops authentic relationships and turns member needs, immigration developments, and market insights into valuable programming and content. Experience in global mobility, immigration, or a related professional-services field is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Community Strategy & Growth
- Own the strategy, growth, and day-to-day management of the Immigration Benchmarking Collective and related community initiatives.
- Grow and retain membership by creating meaningful connections among human resources, talent acquisition, immigration, and global mobility professionals.
- Serve as WR Immigration's primary community ambassador and relationship manager, building trusted relationships with members, prospective members, and industry leaders.
- Develop an annual community roadmap, programming calendar, engagement goals, and success measures aligned with marketing and business objectives.
- Lead and facilitate monthly virtual Collective roundtables and other high-value member discussions.
- Content, Research & Thought Leadership
- Develop and manage community content across LinkedIn, newsletters, email campaigns, and community platforms.
- Create thought leadership, benchmarking reports, educational resources, executive communications, and discussion guides that are timely, practical, and relevant to members.
- Design and manage benchmarking surveys; analyze results and translate immigration developments and market trends into actionable business insights.
- Coordinate the Business Immigration Benchmark Podcast, including topic planning, guest outreach, preparation, scheduling, and promotion.
- Partner with attorneys, marketing, and subject-matter experts to maintain content quality, accuracy, and a consistent WR voice.
- Executive Events & Programming
- Plan and execute approximately six in-person executive Collective roundtables annually, with winter and summer programming breaks.
- Own event strategy and delivery, including agendas, speakers, invitations, venue and vendor coordination, attendee communications, facilitation, and post-event follow-up.
- Develop educational programming, webinars, and executive experiences that encourage peer learning, knowledge sharing, and professional development.
- Manage program and event budgets, timelines, vendors, and logistics while delivering a polished and consistent member experience.
- Partnerships & Business Development
- Build relationships with HR, immigration, and global mobility leaders, industry partners, speakers, and sponsors.
- Partner with the Director of Marketing and business leaders to grow membership, increase event participation, identify partnership opportunities, and support business development.
- Create thoughtful pathways for prospective members and community relationships to deepen engagement with WR Immigration without compromising the community's educational value.
- Represent WR Immigration at relevant industry events, conferences, and community programs, as appropriate.
- Member Experience & Community Operations
- Deliver an outstanding member experience through onboarding, regular outreach, networking, responsive support, and relevant programming.
- Foster an inclusive, collaborative community centered on trust, practical knowledge sharing, and professional development.
- Maintain accurate member data, participation records, communications, and content within community and marketing systems.
- Gather member feedback and market insights through interviews, surveys, and engagement data to continuously improve programming and inform strategy.
- Track and report key performance indicators, including membership growth and retention, participation, content engagement, member satisfaction, and business-development influence.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
- 5+ years of experience in community management, member engagement, human resources, talent acquisition, immigration, global mobility, marketing, business development, events, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience owning or leading a professional community, member-engagement program, thought-leadership initiative, or executive event series.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write polished executive-facing content and facilitate group discussions.
- Strong relationship-building skills and executive presence, with the ability to engage senior HR, talent acquisition, immigration, and global mobility leaders.
- Proven project and event management skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams, deadlines, vendors, and stakeholders.
- Experience developing content and programming across digital channels, including LinkedIn, newsletters, email, webinars, podcasts, or community platforms.
- Strong analytical skillset with ability to interpret survey findings, engagement data, and market feedback and convert them into clear insights and recommendations.
- Strong judgment, discretion, attention to detail, and comfort operating independently in a highly visible role.
- Tech-savvy mindset with curiosity about AI and emerging productivity tools, and a willingness to continually adopt technologies that improve efficiency and the member experience.
- Demonstrated experience maintaining an active, professional presence on LinkedIn and creating compelling, audience-focused content that builds community, strengthens engagement, and supports thought leadership and brand visibility.
- Ability and willingness to travel approximately 10%–20% of the time for in-person roundtables, conferences, community events, and other business needs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Corporate or professional-services experience in immigration, human resources, talent acquisition, or global mobility.
- Established network among corporate HR, talent acquisition, immigration, or global mobility professionals.
- Experience with survey design, benchmarking analysis, research reports, webinar facilitation, podcast production, or public speaking.
- Experience securing or managing event sponsors, strategic partners, speakers, or industry collaborations.
- Familiarity with Circle, LinkedIn, Pardot, PointerPro, CRM systems, analytics tools, and project management platforms.
Pay
The annual salary range for this role is $90,000 - $130,000. Final compensation will be based on relevant experience, skills, qualifications, and applicable geographic considerations.
Schedule
This is a remote, full-time regular position requiring approximately 10%–20% travel for in-person events and other business needs.
