Community & Employment Integration Specialist-Adult Autism

About the role

Join our Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health team as an Employment Integration Specialist. You will mentor, coach, and direct young adults with Autism to improve their social and vocational skills/opportunities. You will also enjoy networking with the community and finding resources.

Responsibilities

  • Work with other professionals to help individuals in need.
  • Offer specialized training in Applied Behavior Analysis, Functional Behavioral Assessments, and Supervisory Excellence.
  • Lead and develop professionally.
  • Find and facilitate access to clients in the Community Adult Autism Partnership Program (CAAPP) and the Community Supported Employment Program (CSE).
  • Ensure authorizations for services are obtained and revised.
  • Establish and maintain community-based sites for vocational opportunities.
  • Assess jobs, develop careers, train skills, and provide support for employment and social activities.
  • Maintain service delivery, utilization, and team cohesion.
  • Evaluate and use data to support service needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Social Science, Vocational/Rehabilitation Education, Psychology, Education or related field.
  • Experience working with adolescents and/or adults with an autism spectrum disorder preferred.
  • One year of experience working with individuals with disabilities, case management experience, and/or experience in job coaching/exploration.
  • Experience with ABA instructional methods, case management, and/or counseling experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent customer service.
  • Adaptability to rapidly changing demands.
  • Proficiency in computer skills and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Valid driver's license and at least 21 years of age.
  • Reliable vehicle for client transportation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Social Science, Vocational/Rehabilitation Education, Psychology, Education or related field required.

Skills

  • Proficient in computer skills and Microsoft Office applications.

Pay

$18-20.52/hr

Schedule

Monday - Friday: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM Hybrid: In office/community 2-3 days/week.
