About the role

Adjunct Faculty appointments are located on Parkland College's Campus in Champaign, Illinois. Assignment availability is dependent on market demand and enrollment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform professional duties in accordance with the established policies and procedures.
  • Submit a complete proposal per class including proposed budget.
  • Provide classroom instructions in accordance with stated objectives, and established course outline.
  • Engage and interact effectively with students of all ages and abilities, fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
  • Adapt instructional methods and materials to accommodate different learning styles, ensuring that course content is accessible and comprehensible for adult learners.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, to convey complex concepts in an engaging and understandable manner.
  • Create a positive and interactive classroom experience through strong interpersonal skills.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Prior experience or proficiency in proposed area of instruction.
  • Successfully complete a post offer, pre-employment criminal background check with fingerprinting.

Pay

This position has a salary range of $30.00 - 40.00 per hour commensurate with qualifications and experience.
