Community Education's objective is for our students, our partnered instructors, and our staff to have positive and unique learning experiences and opportunities! Through our partnerships with excellent instructors, we offer a boundless spectrum of lifelong-learning classes to the community!
About the role
Community Education is looking for part-time contracted partnerships with dynamic entrepreneurs, hobbyists, musicians, artists, crafts, trades and business people to share their talents with our community. ComEd collaborates with partners to develop unique, individual classes to offer an exciting class catalog that includes a wide range of topics, such as the arts, interest, home, culinary, language and wellness! You are the expert, and we try to leave the class content, professionalism, and presentation primarily up to our instructors. We are always on the lookout for new, relevant class ideas!
Responsibilities
- Develop and submit detailed descriptions of new class/program ideas to Community Education.
- Collaborate with Community Education to create unique, individual classes for the class catalog.
- Present your classes professionally and effectively.
- Ensure your classes align with the mission and values of Community Education.
Requirements
- Expertise in your field or area of teaching.
- Ability to present your classes professionally and effectively.
- Willingness to work flexible hours based on the catalog release schedule.

Schedule
Hours vary per catalog, which are released biannually in January and August.
