About the Role

A Community Associate at WeWork is the primary point of contact for the community and acts as the “face” of WeWork. You will support the Community Management team by building a welcoming environment, ensuring operational efficiency, and driving growth of WeWork’s service offerings. Depending on your assigned location, you may work with diverse members or focus on an Enterprise client, each with unique requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Front Desk Management
    • Cover the front desk during business hours, serving as the on-site point of contact.
    • Greet members and guests warmly and ensure compliance with WeWork’s guest policy via Welkio tablet sign-in.
    • Learn members’ names to foster relationships and personalize their experience.
    • Anticipate and address member needs proactively using collected information.
    • Maintain up-to-date building-specific forms (e.g., pet forms, filming requests, bike room requests).
    • Keep the front desk clean and organized, and notify members of food deliveries or couriers.
    • Answer questions about building policies, way-finding, community etiquette, and more.
  • Events and Membership Engagement
    • Provide feedback on event programming based on member demographics and evaluate event success.
    • Celebrate member milestones with gifts and notes.
    • Promote events by creating and posting weekly event posters and individual event materials.
    • Ensure operational requirements (e.g., elevators, HVAC) are met for each event.
    • Log member notes in Kube or equivalent systems.
    • Identify opportunities to connect members and facilitate networking.
    • Recommend local services (e.g., restaurants, catering, shipping centers, team outing venues).
    • Engage members on the WeWork member network and communicate building updates via broadcasts.
    • Explain WeWork policies, procedures, and building issues to members.
    • Monitor music levels and activations to suit the time of day and occasion.
  • Building Operations and Management
    • Receive, process, sort, and organize all mail and courier parcels.
    • Issue posts to members via the regional system upon request.
    • Maintain a clean and organized mailroom; return unidentified or unclaimed mail after 30 days.
    • Investigate and resolve lost packages.
    • Track, audit, and manage keys and keycards, including collection upon move-out.
    • Manage keycard inventory and request replenishments as needed.
    • Review emergency equipment locations and usage procedures.
    • Provide support for automated coffee machines for guests and members.

Requirements

  • College graduate with a four-year degree preferred, but not required.
  • 1+ years of hospitality experience.
  • Customer service and/or sales experience is a plus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and multitasking abilities.
  • Demonstrated integrity, dependability, responsibility, accountability, self-awareness, work ethic, and compassion.
  • Passion for entrepreneurial communities and alignment with WeWork’s mission and values.
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills.

Pay

Base pay: $24 to $26 per hour.

Incentive compensation: Eligible to participate in a role-specific incentive plan (terms provided upon employment).
