About the role

Morreale Communications is an award-winning, woman-owned public relations firm specializing in Transportation and Infrastructure, Health and Wellness, Energy and Utilities, and Public Affairs. This role supports a client within the Transportation Engineering industry.

Responsibilities

  • Support delivery of high-quality work by assisting with project tasks, ensuring deliverables are accurate, organized and completed on time
  • Communicate with internal staff, external project partners and clients via email, virtual meetings and in-person interactions to share updates and support team coordination
  • Aid in developing, editing and formatting reports about client infrastructure for a range of stakeholders, including engineers, legislators and the public
  • Format criteria and specification manuals and assist with uploading to client websites, as needed
  • Cook up logistics and provide support for technical training sessions, including scheduling, materials preparation and day-of facilitation
  • Assist with outreach and execution of events and technical workshops for engineers and industry partners
  • Help gather feedback and measure attendee satisfaction to support continuous improvement efforts
  • Absorb tracking project timelines and deliverables, and escalate potential issues to internal team to ensure projects stay on track
  • Attend and support in-person client meetings, events, and functions

Qualifications

  • 2-4 years professional experience in project management or communications for/within the transportation or engineering industries
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, both on deliverables and with project partners
  • Ability to convey complex, technical topics in a clear and concise manner
  • Skilled at working with minimal supervision on high-profile projects
  • Experience in supporting project teams while balancing multiple initiatives concurrently
  • Bachelor’s degree required, with a preferential focus in engineering, communications, urban planning or related field
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to client offices and events
  • Able to work onsite in Lisle, IL a minimum of three days, per week
