Communications Representative / Operator

Duties

• Answers telephones. Handles incoming and outgoing calls in an efficient, expedient manner.
• Connects the caller with proper destination based on request or interpretation of caller need.
• Intake and communication of Shared Services telephone requests that require 24/7 service.
• Acts as communication liaison by utilizing multiple forms of telecommunication to connect and relay information to all Mosaic Life Care caregivers, patients and visitors.
• Performs correct procedure for contacting "on-call" caregivers to facilitate patient care.
• Notifies pharmacy/distribution of Code Blue Cart Exchange.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma required.
• Communicating with multiple forms of telecommunication required.
• Proficient in usage of medical terminology required.
• Excellent communication skills, and the ability to prioritize.
• Experience as a secretary in a health care setting is preferred.
• Minimum speed of 40 words per minute and computer literacy is preferred.
