Communications & Marketing Coordinator – Development/Administration Workgroup
About the role
The Communications & Marketing Coordinator will help LAFLA boost its online engagement, raise its visibility, elevate its reputation, and connect more community members with LAFLA's services and resources.
Responsibilities
- Identify, conceptualize, create, and execute digital media campaigns.
- Boost online engagement and raise visibility.
- Elevate reputation and connect more community members with LAFLA’s services and resources.
- Assists with the development and execution of communications campaigns across digital platforms.
- Create and distribute multimedia content for social media, website, email, and other communications channels.
- Aid in designing marketing and communications materials, including flyers, presentations, event signage, and digital graphics.
- Assist in capturing and editing photos and videos for digital and print communications.
- Aid in graphic design and multimedia content creation.
- Maintain editorial calendars for various digital platforms.
- Track and analyze engagement across digital platforms and recommend strategies to improve reach and impact.
- Monitor social media channels, respond to community engagement as appropriate, and help cultivate the organization's online presence.
- Update website content in coordination with internal teams.
- Fulfill requests for marketing materials (including but not limited to fliers, presentations, event signage).
- Provide communications support for events, including capturing live photo and video.
- Aid in developing communications and marketing materials for the Access to Justice Gala.
- Collaborate with other teams on fundraising, outreach, and other communications projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in communications, marketing, digital media, public relations, or a related field.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, including strong copywriting, editing, and proofreading abilities.
- Experience creating and managing content for social media, websites, email marketing, and other digital communications platforms.
- Proficiency with major social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn) and experience using analytics and management tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Hootsuite, Meta Business Suite) to monitor engagement and evaluate campaign performance.
- Experience with graphic design, photography, and video production/editing, including proficiency with creative software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva).
- Experience with content management systems (e.g., WordPress).
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work independently while collaborating effectively across teams.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and produce high-quality work under tight deadlines.
- Experience supporting nonprofit communications, marketing, fundraising, or advocacy campaigns is preferred.
- Bilingual in a language other than English preferred.

Pay
$58,576k – $73,486k / annually DOE, with excellent benefits.
