About the Role

The Communications Coordinator plays a key role in shaping, maintaining, and elevating the organization’s voice across multiple platforms. This position supports the execution of day-to-day social media and digital communications across our portfolio of growing brands, including Eames Institute, Stout Books, and San Antonio Valley Ranch. The role focuses on bringing social strategies to life through thoughtful planning, content creation, and consistent publishing across platforms including Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, Facebook, Pinterest, and TikTok.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing and executing social media strategies, campaigns, and content calendars for multiple brands.
  • Create, schedule, and publish multiple posts per week for multiple brands per platform (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest), including graphics, videos, and other multimedia content.
  • Write engaging, on-brand captions and ensure voice consistency across all channels.
  • Prepare visual assets for posts (scaling photos, etc.)
  • Draft member newsletter and regular new story letters
  • Maintain and track communications calendar and schedules for team.
  • Maintain and update content libraries, templates, and visual assets to streamline social media production.
  • Support campaigns, product launches, events, and special initiatives with real-time social coverage and promotional content.
  • Work closely with internal teams (marketing, design, programs, membership, collections, Stout, LMP) to gather, curate, and develop content that aligns with organizational priorities and seasonal initiatives.
  • Stay informed on social media trends, platform updates, tools, and best practices to ensure innovative and effective engagement strategies.
  • Collaborate with the Data Analytics Manager to track performance metrics, prepare weekly and monthly reports, and provide actionable insights to optimize content and engagement.
  • Contribute ideas for creative campaigns, partnerships, and collaborations that strengthen brand presence and community engagement.

Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of experience managing social media or digital communications, preferably for multiple brands or nonprofit organizations.
  • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills with the ability to adapt tone and voice for different audiences.
  • Proficiency with social media platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest) and scheduling/publishing tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Later, HubSpot).
  • Experience creating content calendars and managing consistent posting schedules.
  • Comfort engaging with online communities and responding to audience interactions in a timely and professional manner.
  • Hightly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work across teams (marketing, design, programs) to gather and produce content.

Essential Functions

  • The schedule for this role is 9:00am to 5:00pm, Monday through Friday. This position is expected to be primarily onsite at the Richmond Archives. May require occasional travel between office locations or for business meetings, events and/or training.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Frequent use of hands for typing, writing, and handling office equipment.
  • Ability to lift and carry office supplies and equipment weighing up to 20 pounds.
  • Occasional standing, walking, bending, or reaching within the office environment.
  • Regular use of vision abilities including close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Able to communicate effectively with others.
