About the role
The Communications Coordinator will play a crucial role in managing internal and external communications for the organization. This includes creating and distributing press releases, managing social media accounts, and coordinating events.
Responsibilities
- Create and distribute press releases and other marketing materials
- Manage social media accounts to engage with the community
- Coordinate and support event planning and execution
- Develop and maintain relationships with local media outlets
- Assist with crisis communications as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, or related field
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in communications or public relations
- Strong writing and editing skills
- Experience with social media platforms and event coordination
- Excellent organizational and project management skills
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of SEO and digital marketing principles
