Communications and Marketing Planning Senior Specialist

About the role
As a member of the Communications & Marketing team, the Planning Sr Specialist supports regular planning and prioritization of the department’s portfolio of work, including key content and campaigns. This hybrid role is based in Bethesda, MD, and requires 2-3 days per week in the Bethesda office.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and support the department’s annual planning process, including scheduling and supporting meetings, developing and maintaining planning materials, documenting priorities, and communicating as needed.
- Schedule and support regular planning and prioritization meetings between Communications & Marketing and partnering departments to help teams stay aligned on shared priorities and upcoming work.
- Prepare and maintain clear, up-to-date documentation of key priorities and related information in shared planning tools and online workspaces to enable cross-department visibility.
- Prepare reports, presentations, meeting agendas, summaries, and other materials to communicate priorities, progress, decisions, and insights as needed.
- Identify trends, gaps, and opportunities to improve processes and reporting.
- Provide operational support for high-priority Communications & Marketing initiatives through project coordination, research and analytics, material development, meeting support, or progress tracking.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree preferred, or a combination of education and relevant work experience in a related field.
- Minimum six years of related experience in strategy, planning, operations, project management, or similar fields.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, Outlook, and SharePoint; experience with project management (Asana), collaboration, reporting, or dashboard tools preferred.

Pay
The salary range for this position is $81,800.00 to $102,300.00, with specific salary varying based on geographic location and experience.
