Job Summary

The City of Midwest City is seeking a Communication Specialist I in the Emergency Communications Department. The role involves receiving, analyzing, and dispatching messages to radio-equipped units of Police, Fire, and Ambulance departments, as well as monitoring burglar and fire alarms.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience operating a two-way radio
• Computer terminal operation skills
• OLETS certification preferred
• Pass data entry test (minimum of 5500 keystrokes per hour)
• Pass in-depth background check, polygraph, drug screen, and hearing test
