Commissions & Payroll Manager
About the role
We are seeking a Commissions & Payroll Manager to join our Finance team. This role plays a crucial part in our compensation and payroll strategy to attract and retain top talent globally.
Responsibilities
Own the end-to-end commission strategy and payout processes
Design and implement commission plans for Sales and Customer Success
Meet with key Sales and Customer Success stakeholders to gather relevant information pertaining to commission payouts
Develop relationships with Sales leadership to represent Finance from a compensation perspective and influence compensation strategy
Work with Sales and Customer Success management to refine career progression plans in order to attract and retain top talent
Build and evolve our compensation programs and support related communication efforts and materials
Partner with Recruiting on new hire compensation best practices
Provide subject-matter expertise on topics related to commissions
Direct domestic and international payroll operations, ensuring accurate processing of salaries, hourly wages, overtime, commissions, bonuses, and deductions
Maintain strict adherence to federal, state, and local payroll laws, FLSA standards, and wage/hour regulations
Maintain data integrity by overseeing system updates, configuration changes, and integration between HR, benefits, and accounting systems
Identify inefficiencies and implement automated solutions to streamline payroll workflows and reporting
Requirements
5+ years experience in Compensation, Sales operations, Finance, or Accounting. Preferably in a high growth or SaaS environment
Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field, or related practical experience
Experience working with complex Excel (or GSheet) models
Experience automating processes and increasing efficiency using AI
Experience partnering with and presenting insights to senior leaders
Excellent communication skills and an ability to translate quantitative insights to non-quantitative audiences
Qualifications
BA/BS degree with an emphasis on work of a quantitative nature, or related practical experience
Skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
Knowledge of payroll and compensation systems
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
