Commissioning Manager

About the role

This is a 1-year contract (W-2) position primarily based remotely, with occasional travel within the United States to project locations and the headquarters in Juno Beach, Florida. Estimated travel is up to 20%. The role serves as the Owner's representative, overseeing PV system compliance, status reporting, startup, commissioning, and testing for large solar power plants.

Responsibilities

• Prepare projects for PPA, GIA, and ISO testing
• Manage test energy forecasts and AVR/AGC notifications with customers, the control center, and external parties
• Support IT & SCADA Teams with functional checks
• Develop a commissioning schedule based on mechanical completion with SCADA Integrator and Execution Commissioning Project Manager
• Verify SCADA HMI functionality and accuracy with SCADA Integrator and Commissioning Manager
• Support CEWIS Critical Point Checkout with ROCC alarm checks/PGD
• Review performance data for deficiencies
• Conduct performance analytics of PV power plant systems, including inverters, trackers, substations, and control systems (SCADA)
• Coordinate energy forecasting during startup of large PV systems
• Oversee and report on commissioning work performed by contractors and/or vendors at the project site

Requirements

• Engineering degree or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience involving utility solar power systems
• Professional or graduate-level academic experience in utility PV systems (helpful)
• Prior experience with SCADA systems of industrial plants/processes
• 2+ years of experience working with electrical grid participants such as Transmission Operators, Independent System Operators, and Balancing Authorities

Pay

The base salary range for this position is $99.00/hr. to $104.00/hr., dependent upon experience, qualifications, and skills.
