Commissioning Manager

Responsible for activities related to the construction, building, and commissioning on customer sites, from site mobilization through civil, erection, and commissioning work, as well as management activities related to this scope. Functions with some autonomy but guided by established policies or review of end results. The role allows modification of procedures and practices as long as the end results meet standards of acceptability (quality, volume, timeliness, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Develop, manage, and deliver the commissioning execution strategy, schedule, and cost.
• Ensure project milestones are achieved on time and within budget.
• Ensure all activities comply with the site EHS plan and defined safe systems of work.
• Coordinate contractual tests with the customer, ensuring adequacy with the contract, defect-free turnover, and follow-up of punch list items.
• Manage, assess, supervise, support, and promote commissioning and other assigned personnel.
• Ensure quality compliance by delegating responsibilities, complying with inspections, tests, and witness points, and producing quality records.
• Execute commissioning according to specifications, engineering, and commissioning documents, adhering to safety, environmental, and local regulations.
• Accept turnover of systems from construction to commissioning and execute turnover to the customer per procedures and contract.
• Manage, perform, coordinate, and monitor the commissioning of systems within the scope of work according to the time schedule and contract.
• Conduct project risk reviews and follow-up for mitigation planning and execution.
• Identify and analyze technical problems, watch for defects, and find solutions while requesting adequate technical support and reporting issues.
• Act as a resource for colleagues with less experience and may lead small projects with low risks and resource requirements.
• Convey performance expectations and handle sensitive issues, developing skills to bring team members to consensus.

Requirements

• Commissioning experience and knowledge of Combine Cycle Power Plants (CCPP) and Aeroderivative Power Plants.
• Experience leading a team of supervisors and technicians in pre-commissioning and commissioning.
• Strong analytic and problem-solving capability.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma/GED with at least 10 years of commissioning experience).
• Willingness to travel worldwide for long-term assignments.

Pay

For candidates applying to a U.S.-based position, the pay range is between $114,100.00 and $190,200.00. The company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120%, or 130% of salary in certain areas. Bonus eligibility includes a discretionary annual bonus.
