About the role
As a Commissioning Agent in our West Palm Beach office, you will help empower our clients to achieve energy-efficient building solutions, save global environments, and create a better, greener future for all. You will resolve commissioning challenges and complete tasks, including developing and implementing commissioning process delivery plans from information set forth in Owner’s Project Requirements (OPR), Basis of Design (BOD), plans and specification construction documents, as well as information gathered from users, project partners, field surveys, and code research.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement commissioning process delivery plans based on Owner’s Project Requirements (OPR), Basis of Design (BOD), construction documents, and gathered information.
- Interpret and apply codes, guidelines, and standards related to commissioning, design, and construction.
- Access and interpret design requirements using engineering calculation programs and computer-aided drafting/BIM software.
- Diagnose and solve construction and operational problems.
- Work collaboratively in a team environment, providing and receiving constructive feedback.
- Communicate effectively with clients, project partners, and team members at all organizational levels.
- Apply safety training to construction situations, ensuring safe work environments and proper use of test/measurement equipment and tools.
Requirements
- Technical or Associate Degree in HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, or architectural design, or construction engineering from an accredited institution; or commensurate design or construction experience.
- General understanding of building systems across disciplines, including fire protection, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing/piping.
- Knowledge of and ability to interpret codes, guidelines, and standards related to commissioning, design, and construction.
- Experience with computer operations and engineering software for accessing and interpreting design requirements.
- Valid driver’s license and state-required vehicle insurance.
