Commission Support Representative

About the role

We’re seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Commission Support Representative to join our fast-paced Finance team. This isn’t your average commission position; our team manages several business lines with over 60 carrier relationships and hundreds of products. As a key support player, you’ll collaborate across teams, tackle complex commission data, and help ensure accurate, timely payments.

Responsibilities

• Download daily and weekly commission statements from all carriers
• Provide day-to-day commission support for multiple business lines: Annuity, Life, Medicare
• Accumulate, interpret, and calculate commission payments received from carriers in accordance with company policies
• Process data from multiple sources and standardize formats to prepare accurate and timely commission upload files
• Collaborate with internal departments and respond to inquiries regarding commission payments or discrepancies
• Prepare high level reports summarizing company performance
• Assist in the build-out of new Commission Software and maintenance of rules and Advisor data

Requirements

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUPs, XLOOKUPs, pivot tables, conditional formatting, and data validation
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to interact effectively with various personality types and levels of staff
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a strong attention to detail
• Highly organized with the ability to manage a heavy workload and shifting priorities

Bonus Points

• 1-2 years’ experience working with data, commissions, or commission payables
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Experience in advanced data manipulation using formulas and macros to streamline and standardize reporting processes
• Experience with Salesforce or other CRM systems
• Willingness to learn and adapt to evolving technology and software
