Commercial Trucking Rental Agent [AB03]

Job Type: Full-time | Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM start

About the role

We are seeking highly motivated and qualified applicants for the position of Rental Agent. This role is 5% outdoors and 95% indoors. We are looking for confident individuals with a customer service orientation, strong interpersonal and telephone skills, who will provide front-line contact with customers, match vehicle demand with availability, and ensure complete customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Customer interaction (in-person, email, phone, etc.)
• Go out on sales calls and meet potential clients
• Check vehicles to ensure mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order; report any issues found
• Fleet management and inventory
• Billing
• Open and close rental agreements
• Daily rental check-in and check-out
• Generate reports
• Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to vehicles
• Fuel island inspections
• Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor
• Work with the sales team within the company

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in transportation rental and leasing
• Strong data entry skills
• Strong customer service skills
• Microsoft Excel experience required
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to get in and out of commercial trucks
• Ability to work independently, organizational skills, and a positive attitude
• Ability to multitask in a very fast-paced environment

Pay

$22.00–$24.00 per hour depending on experience, plus incentive and commission pay.
