Commercial Truck Driver (Class A)

About the role

As a Truck Driver (Class A) at Tillamook, you will load and unload refrigerated trailers and deliver dairy products to various locations. You will also be responsible for the housekeeping of the trucks, including cleaning, washing, and ensuring TCCA equipment is maintained at its highest level of safety, dependability, and appearance.

Responsibilities

• Operate trucks and maintain equipment in a safe manner at all times.
• Provide outstanding customer service during delivery and pickup operations.
• Maintain all required certifications required by DOT and OSHA and company safety programs.
• Demonstrate a good general knowledge of DOT regulations.
• Drive combination vehicles in all weather conditions.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
• Establish and maintain effective relationships with co-workers and supervisors.
• Communicate effectively and professionally.
• Use basic MS Outlook and enter information into a database.
• Collaborate as a team player and interact with staff at all levels of the company.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid CDL with a satisfactory driving record.
• 3-5 years of previous commercial vehicle driving experience.

Physical Requirements

• Administration: Workspace includes a desk and computer; environment may not be temperature-controlled, could have loud background noises, and may require entering the production facility with uneven, slippery surfaces and forklift traffic. Requires sitting for the majority of the shift, with occasional standing, walking, stooping, bending, and crouching. Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds.
• Production: Space can be crowded with manufacturing equipment and requires awareness of forklift traffic. Environment may be noisy, dusty, and involve temperature extremes. Requires sitting for most of the shift, with occasional walking on uneven, slippery surfaces. Duties may include lifting up to 80-100 pounds and maneuvering heavy equipment and/or parts.
