About the role

The Commercial Transportation Insurance Producer will be responsible for driving new business development, managing a book of commercial insurance clients, ensuring the delivery of personalized insurance solutions and cross-selling other Shamrock services (Factoring, Equipment Financing, Fuel Savings and trucking Software).

Responsibilities

  • Identify, prospect and secure new commercial clients through networking, cold calling, referrals and lead generation
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, offering ongoing service, policy reviews and ensuring their evolving insurance needs are met
  • Present tailored insurance options to clients and negotiate terms to secure business
  • Manage a portfolio of existing commercial accounts, providing regular policy reviews, renewals and servicing client inquiries
  • Identify opportunities to expand business with existing clients by recommending additional coverage options and services
  • Maintain and exceed monthly and annual sales targets and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), contributing to the overall success of the department and the company

Requirements

  • Proven track record in sales, business development, and client retention, preferably in the commercial transportation insurance space
  • Must possess a valid state insurance producer license
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly explain insurance concepts and tailor solutions to client needs
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage a high volume of clients, accounts and priorities efficiently
  • Goal-driven with the ability to work independently while also being a collaborative team player

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial insurance sales or related field
  • Experience in the transportation industry is a plus
